SIF / SFF does not support Congress in Elections

Posted in Men, Women, dowry, government, legal extortion, legal terrorism, marriage, society tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 11:04 pm by legalfighter

Some Top Congress Members have requested for Save Indian Family Foundation (SIFF)/Save Family Foundation (SFF) support for Delhi Elections, through some of their members closely associated with SFF/SIF.

SFF/SIF members answered them:” Sorry you are too late and to stop the legal terrorism (misuse of Section 498A of IPC / DV Act / Biased Child Custody act) they have not done anything and they have to pay the price this time in Delhi Elections. Their Anti Family, anti-male LAW and Policy forced a Lot of SFF Members to stop any support to Congress Party, whereas previously they used to be supporter of Congress in their college days.”

If they want to regain their supporters’ confidence, first they have to stop the Legal Terrorism in India and the bad mouthed WCD minister to be removed from their party immediately.

As per Hindustan times dated 24/11/08:

“The congress had 47 MLAs in the last Delhi assembly and the BJP 20.While there are no opinion polls saying it yet, the word on street is that the Congress is in trouble. Many in the party privately admit winning Delhi this time looks different.”

In the last municipal Elections SFF claimed that they have ensured loss of at least 5 Seats of Congress by their campaign.

Congress Paid the Price in Delhi MCD Election for Promoting Family Killer LAWS!

Save Indian Family Foundation had announced their activity before the start of the Delhi MCD Election through the call: Women’s role in promoting gender equality wherein neither the media nor the congress governments imagined the effects and still they can’t believe the result and started to blame the sealing effect to dilute the real cause of the failure of Congress Government in Delhi MCD election.

In the coming Delhi election Save Indian Family Foundation’s Delhi Association will Contest at least 5 Seats, where the Congress candidate will be hot favorite to win and ensure their defeat, as they feel Congress Government’s Policy are always ‘anti-family”, “anti-child”, “anti-women” and they are only interested to promote “Male hater Women” in their party and safeguard the adulterous women only.

Recent example: NCW trying hard to make the adultery civil LAW instead of Criminal LAW (497) , so that the civilized society can be converted to a animal society.

It seems Congress Government and their Leaders have not taken that seriously. As a result we are witnessing today that the BJP emerges victorious in MCD polls.

So, In Delhi MCD Poll the Congress Government paid the Price for their Promotion of Male hater Minister like Ms. Renuka Choudhary, who had said earlier,” It’s turn for the men to suffer in India on the eve of passing the biased family destruction Weapon in the form of AK47 without license , the so called Domestic Violence Act, Instead of Domestic Harmony Act .

Let the congress make more and more Family Breaking LAW. Let them promote the Male hater ministers. Let them Promote the Father less society. Let them try to safeguard the Adulterous women or our Society.  Yes Indian people are fool, but not stupid.

Cheers Delhi SIF and thanks for those, who had put all their effort to ensure the Kick out of Congress in Delhi MCD election, not for that BJP wins MCD Elections, it is for the Congress Who had paid the price for their anti-family, anti- child and promotion of Father less Society for our future Child.

Though we foresee very soon the same failure formula of those western countries had been implemented in India by Congress Ministers along with some male -hater women activist, just like a cut, copy and paste and we are moving towards a fatherless society at rapid speed, this is a small step from the Volunteers of Save Indian Family Foundation.

Now, it is up to the Congress TOP leaders to take a decision, are they going to Stop the Legal Terrorism in India or not? Do you know? NCRB: Over 100,000 Women Arrested Under 498A Since 2004.

More than 1, 00,000 women are arrested without trial under law Section 498a IPC by Indian Govt. in last 4 years even as thieves, molesters get bail. Are these women a bigger threat to society than thieves and molesters? (LINK) Is this what women’s empowerment by Congress Govt?

Even it took British 10 years to arrest 5000 women( 1937-47) but our Indian Government arrested more than 1,00,000 women ( 18 times ) in just 4 years ( 2004 – 2007).

The maximum women arrested even by barbaric British Government in 1930, approx 17000 women for their involvement Dandi Yatra (Salt March), which is much less than our Present Government done and our National commission of Women (NCW) and their associated are promoting the same even openly in Media/society/Parliament, which even Supreme Court of India also termed as “Legal Terrorism”!

Join the Revolution and help save your family or your beloved ones from the misuse of this deadly law!

Do you determine your beliefs or your beliefs determine you?

Posted in life, philosophy, psychology, thought tagged , , , , , , , , , at 2:00 pm by legalfighter

G’day Kids. So this study on beliefs has turned into something of an epic. Let’s look at a snapshot of what we’ve covered so far in parts one and two

1. We’re all largely driven, motivated, limited, empowered and controlled by our beliefs; this can be both good and bad.

2. We have positive, negative and incidental beliefs.

3. Beliefs typically form over a long period of time. From the day we are born that computer on top of our shoulders is being programmed.

4. They often develop with no real effort, input or awareness on our part. We rarely make conscious decisions about them; they take root in spite of us.

5. They are the result of our influences and our experiences.

6. We know that in certain situations and circumstances (home, work, clubs, church, politics), there exists a level of pressure to align our beliefs and thinking with the majority in order to be accepted, valued and respected as part of that group.

7. Having different beliefs to the majority (in your immediate world), or changing your beliefs won’t always be well received. In fact, it will often be resisted and strongly discouraged.

8. Quite often we adopt the beliefs of others. We grow into the thinking of our parents, teachers, preachers, bosses. We don’t explore or discover our own truth, we simply make theirs.. ours.

9. I like the idea of being part of a group where identical beliefs and consensual thinking is not a pre-requisite for membership. Or acceptance. Or respect. That kind of group appeals to me.

10. We should re-examine, question and test our beliefs to determine whether they empower us or limit us.

11. Just because you’ve believed something for a long time doesn’t mean it’s right; it just means you’ve believed it for a long time!

12. We have an emotional attachment to some beliefs and the thought of letting go of them scares the crap out of us. But sometimes it’s in the letting go that we have our eyes opened.

13. In an effort to align our beliefs, thinking and behaviour with the group, we often lose US. We lose our own identity and individuality, waste our potential and live a life of frustration, compromise and under-achievement. We don’t become the best US we can, we become what is expected of us; we succumb to the enormity of conformity.

So the smart plan would be to keep the positive beliefs and lose the bad ones.

The time to consider change is when we realise that a particular belief is having some kind of negative impact on our life; our potential, our productivity, our relationships, our possibilities, our career, our family, our physical, mental and emotional health. Changing beliefs is easier said that done, keeping in mind that we are emotional beings who have been thinking, doing and believing a certain way for a very long time. The good news is that change is very possible if we’re serious about the process and we’re prepared to do the work.

So how do we change our beliefs?

1. De-emotionalise the process. The greater the level of emotional investment we have in a certain belief, the more likely we are to be irrational, defensive and even protective of that belief, no matter how much of a negative it has been in our life. The challenge comes in being brave enough to open our mind and expand our thinking to the possibility that some of our long-held beliefs may be wr..wr…wr…ong! Scary I know. Deep breaths, you’ll be okay. A good question to ask ourselves is “what do I believe?”, but the better question is “why do I believe that?” When we discover the ‘why’ then we will find it easier to change the ‘what’.

2. Do what scares you. Of course we need to wrap some logic and common sense around this piece of advice; I’m not suggesting we throw ourselves of a cliff because we’re scared of heights! But working through challenges that force us to confront and deal with our fears is one of the most effective ways to change the way we think, believe, behave and produce in our world.

Most of our limiting beliefs are about US (what we can, can’t, should, shouldn’t do, be, create, achieve), so when we confront, rather than avoid the things that scare us, we typically experience an instant shift in our thinking. When you do something that you believed wasn’t possible for you (running a marathon, holding a snake, completing some study, standing up for yourself, speaking in public), not only do you experience a shift in your thinking about that particular achievement, but you also start to question other self-imposed limitations. “Wow, if I can do that, what else can I do?” When people run their first marathon, the biggest shift is usually in their psychology not their physiology. It’s like they open a door to a world of possibilities. That potential (to do amazing) was always there but it took an experience (facing and overcoming a fear) to open that mental and emotional door which had been locked shut for far too long.

3. Hang out with different people. Hang out with negative, paranoid, miserable, fearful, excuse-making, under-achievers… and pretty soon you’ll be just like them! Who we hang out with doesn’t determine who we become but it sure does influence us. As much as possible, spend time with people who you admire, respect and trust; people who will empower you, not handicap you.

4. Expose yourself to different environments, cultures, ideas, thinking. Some of us have lived in our little boxes for so long that we think the world starts and finishes at our doorstep. Spend time talking to people you would normally avoid or people you might consider yourself to have nothing in common with. They will teach you something. Travel, explore, see different things, do different things. Occasionally expose yourself to things that are ‘not you’. Consciously and proactively set yourself to learn new things.

I recently had a conversation with someone who was being very critical of a particular religious group that exists here in Australia (and many other countries). When I asked him which parts of their theology, philosophy and doctrine he disagreed with, he looked at me blankly. The truth was he that he was criticising something that he knew nothing about. He’d never read any of their religious texts, never had a (meaningful) conversation with anyone of that faith, never been to a service and never even considered that the group he was criticising could possibly teach him anything or be a ‘viable’ (for want of a better term) religious option. After a little probing, I learned that he had simply adopted his ignorant, arrogant beliefs from his equally uneducated, opinionated and intolerant father.

5. Think for yourself. Stop trying to fit in, and start being you. Don’t be a sheep. Question the way you think, behave and believe right now. Explore where those beliefs came from and identify them as a positive or negative in your life. Don’t adopt someone else’s beliefs because you like that person, make those beliefs your own when you’ve questioned them, explored them, tested them and discovered them to be true.

6. Work hard to over-ride your default setting. Sometimes there’s a tendency for us to feel (yep, it’s an emotional thing) that our old, destructive beliefs are somehow more real than the new ones we’re trying to install into our hard-drive. Yes, it’s only a feeling but it can become a reality when we let it happen. If you’re like most people then you will have regular battles between emotional you – the one with the unhealthy emotional attachment to those old beliefs, behaviours and habits – and logical you – the one who understands what you can do and become and is prepared to do what’s necessary.

Replacing your old destructive beliefs with new empowering ones will be an on-going (life-long) process. This means being more aware and conscious of your beliefs and how they impact on you in the moment. Right now. Not in theory but in practice. Sometimes that will mean consciously over-riding an urge to conform to a pre-existing belief (way of thinking, doing, being, reacting, communicating), in order to create better results in your world. And as always, in order to create different, you need to do different.

Ciao x

A tribute to an unsung hero and an unrewarded martyr

Posted in Men, Women, dowry, legal extortion, legal terrorism, marriage, society tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 10:55 pm by legalfighter

It was International Men’s day of 2005 when Mr. Shanmugam Manjunath sacrificed his life for this country.

Let us know who Manjunath was?

Manjunath was just like you and me. He was a son, a brother and a professional like anyone around us. Manjunath was a popular student, noted for his passion for music, sincerity and integrity.

He completed his engineering from JSS Engineering College, Mysore, and an MBA from IIM, Lucknow (2003 batch alumnus). As a manager with the Indian Oil Corporation, he ordered the shutdown of an IOC petrol pump in Lakhimpur Kheri (UP)—where he was posted—for allegedly selling adulterated fuel. Over the past three months, Manjunath had shut down two IOC dealer petrol pumps in Lakhimpur for selling adulterated fuel.

November 19, 2005 – the fateful night…

On November 19, 2005, evening, Manjunath was beaten up and then riddled with at least six bullets. His body was found in the backseat of his own car. Manju was shot and killed in Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh, by a dealer of Indian Oil Corporation – the company he worked for. His only “fault” was that he did his duty: he would not accept bribes for turning a blind eye to the adulteration of fuel being carried out by the dealer.

Government Inaction forced his friends to take charge of situation!

Seeing the inaction of government, his true friends came forward and registered a trust by name of “The Manjunath Shanmugam Trust”. It was registered on Feb 23rd, 2006. It is an international IIM alumni initiative; and works to improve governance in Indian public life.

His friends worked relentlessly to ensure quick justice in the case and the trial was completed in a record nine months. All eight accused were found guilty. The main accused – the petrol pump owner – was given the death penalty. The others were given life imprisonment.

His friends who formed “The Manjunath Shanmugam Trust” got in touch with noted a NGO Parivartan whose founder and IIT-Kharagpur alumnus Mr. Arvind Kejriwal won the 2006 Magsasay award (emerging leader category) for launching first National RTI Helpline number. This first national RTI helpline number was launched on November 19, 2006 (International Men’s Day), the first death anniversary of Manju. Unfortunately, after good work for 1 year; the first helpline number is closed due to poor response.

His friends at “The Manjunath Shanmugam Trust” have instituted the Manjunath Shanmugam Integrity Award to honor and encourage person/s or institutions like Manju; who are working to uphold the values of truth and honesty in Indian corporate, government or public life. The award carries a citation and a cash prize of Rs. One Lakh. The first award was presented to Prof. R.P Singh, (then) Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University, for his sterling work in cleaning up the University. It was presented on 24th March 2007, by N.R Narayana Murthy, Chief Mentor, Infosys Ltd.

What Government of India did for Manjunath and people like him!

Literally speaking government of India has done nothing for Manjunath and people like him. It would have not been possible to give justice to Manju if his friends not taken charge of situation at that time. We have seen hue and cry of Indian government and machinery on recent rape allegations (nobody knows whether these allegations are true or false) at Goa but doing nothing for men who die for this country.

I am sure no one has forgotten Mr. Satyendra Dubey (IIT-Kanpur), who was also killed like Manju for his fight against corruption. I am surprised to know that even today (more than 3 years passed) the accused are not arrested. I can understand how it will be possible to arrest real killers if whole police is busy in ensuring arrest of more than 1, 20, 000 women to break previous 5 year plan.

Indian Government is always busy in providing concession to feminists backed bills/legislations and not recognizing the conditions in which men work in India. It is the men who do all the dangerous work and put their life at risk for family and country. Indian Government simply wants men to pay taxes and keep mum. They do not want the men to express their feeling and ask for welfare. The Government does not want to provide any communication channel to men and yet when confronted about large scale suicides of men, it simply ridicules them by saying, those men are weak, irresponsible and do not communicate.

Manju has got nothing for his fight against corruption. It would a true tribute for Manju and to the people like him if government of India recognizes “International Men’s Day” and announce ministry for men welfare as a real tribute to Manju.

If the government of India chooses to remain mum then Save Indian Family Foundation at Bangalore salutes, gives tribute and dedicates International Men’s day to Manju, as it was November 19 only when he sacrificed his life for the country that have a ministry for animals but not for the men like him.

Save Indian Family Foundation at Bangalore also understands that the Loss of this son (Manju) to his mother is not any less than a mother who loses her daughter.

We dedicate International Men’s day to you, Manju!

NGO to celebrate International Men’s Day on Wed

Posted in Men, Women, dowry, legal extortion, legal terrorism, marriage, society tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 11:41 am by legalfighter

BANGALORE: It’s not just women and children, men too need protection against harassment. Save Indian Family Foundation, an NGO, has claimed many men

are wronged and forced to satisfy many expectations.

The NGO will celebrate International Men’s Day on Wednesday. Thirty bikers will take out a rally on Outer Ring Road from Bellandur Gate to Madiwala Post at 1.30 pm. The organization will pay tribute to achievements in science and defence sectors.

Foundation PRO Virag Dhulia said 13 lakh men lost jobs between 2001 and 2005. According to their statistics, over 55,000 married men committed suicide in 2005 and 2006, as opposed to 29,000 married women. The organization claimed most of these deaths were the result of domestic violence.

Dhulia said: “Men are liable to pay more taxes. Many are stuck in false dowry harassment cases. Adultery is a crime for Indian men but not women. There is discrimination at every point and men have to satisfy unreasonable expectations. There is no institution to protect their rights.”

The NGO has urged the government to set up a men’s welfare department, as well a national commission for men. Other demands include amendments to Section 498-A of IPC and Domestic Violence Act, to accommodate provisions for cruelty and domestic violence against men. “Single men should have the right to adopt, and the government must provide unemployment benefits too,” Dhulia added.

Press Release for IMD by SIFF

PRESS RELEASE

Sub: SIFF celebrating International Men’s Day on 19th Nov 2008 with a bike rally.

Save Indian Family Foundation (SIFF), the single largest group of NGOs dedicated to promote the cause of Gender Equality and Family Harmony in India, is celebrating International Men’s Day on 19th November 2008 in Bangalore. A bike rally is organized on the Outer Ring Road from Bellandur Gate to Madivala post from 1: 30 PM to 3: 00 PM. At least 30 bikers are expected to participate in the rally and express their solidarity. The rally is being organized as a mark of tribute to:-

  1. The great inventions that men have made over the past several thousand years to make technological advances and reduce communicational and organizational latencies.
  2. The sacrifices that men have made over the past several thousand years for either running their households or the country or its defenses or by undertaking the most risky jobs. The lives that men laid down for the sake of martyrdom are often gone unheard and unsung.
  3. And the issues that men in general and Indian men in particular have been facing and that have sadly fallen on deaf ears so far like:-

a.       Today, the expectations from men by the family and society have touched the roof. A man is expected and often demanded to provide luxuries to his family, take care of parents and also in-laws. Men are forced not only to spend all the money that they earn and but also are forced to take huge loans to provide for luxurious apartments, diamond necklaces and costly cars.

b.      The domestic abuse and family disputes are taking a huge toll on married men’s minds. No one shares their pain, grief and there is no social support system for these distressed men.

c.       Men, who commit suicide, are often ridiculed as being weak and irresponsible and this arguments is used to deny any support or counseling to men. Moreover there is no acceptance of the fact that a large number of men are victims of domestic violence as apparent from the fact that in the last 10 years 1, 50, 000 married men have committed suicide.

Here are some figures just indicative of the grim situation men in India are facing currently with no redressal mechanism in sight.

  1. As per the Labor and Employment ministry more than 13 lakh men have lost their jobs in the five years span of 2001 to 2005.
  2. As per suicide statistics provided by National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), for the years 2005 and 2006, more than 52,483 and 55,452 married men, respectively, have committed suicide as opposed to 28,188 and 29,869 married women. Whenever a married woman dies due to any reason, be it accident, illness or commits suicide due to any reason unknown, it is converted into dowry death and yet such large scale suicides by men are not even noticed let alone imparting justice to them.
  3. As per NCRB records, in the year 2005, more than 2,264,000 crimes have been registered against men (which are 92.8% of total registered crimes) but still this fact has never been highlighted in media reports.
  4. Men in India are responsible for 82% of taxes, yet not a single rupee is spent for men’s welfare despite the fact that 192 men are ending their lives daily.
  5. More than 98% of men have faced Domestic Violence at some point of time in their lives at the hands of their wives and in-laws in terms of verbal abuse, physical abuse, economical abuse, relationship cheating, and mental harassment on an average in 3 years of marriage.
  6. More than 22,000 men have ended their lives in reverse dowry harassment by their wives, either being forced to accept dowry or because of a threat of filing a false dowry harassment case.
  7. Men pay more taxes than women at the same salary levels.
  8. False allegations should they be related to dowry harassment, sexual harassment, relationship cheating or any other form of social abuse, has become a norm to be used as a tool against any man by the unscrupulous women, supported and pampered by the society, to realize their vexatious designs or hide their own follies / crimes.
  9. All the gender neutral laws under IPC have a clause of punishment for abusers of those laws, whereas there is no such clause in any of the women centric laws, which is a clear violation of the article 14 of the Indian Constitution and discrimination against the male gender.
  10. Adultery is a crime for Indian men but not for women, which also depicts direct discrimination against men.

Last year Save Indian Family Foundation and its associate NGO’s had celebrated men’s day with their demands. As those demands have fallen on deaf ears and men have been left high and dry, those demands are again repeated this year. Save Indian Family Foundation, on International Men’s Day demands that:

  1.  A separate Men’s Welfare Ministry and a National Commission of Men should be setup to specifically cater to the men’s issues in the country.
  2. Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code and Domestic Violence Act should be suitably modified to accommodate cruelty and Domestic Violence against men as well so that the aggrieved men can also make complaints under the laws and get appropriate and suitable relief.
  3. Large scale suicides of men should be viewed seriously and suitable measures be taken to contain and prevent the same.
  4. Suicides of husbands within seven years of marriage should be considered as “death due to cruelty” and Section 113A and 113B of The Indian Evidence Act, 1872 should be suitably modified to accommodate the same.
  5. Men should be provided with unemployment benefits and every unemployed man should be given at least Rs. 600/- per month till employment.
  6. Men should not be forced to work for more than 9 hours in office and after office work they should not be expected to lend their helping hand in domestic chores as well, because there should be a limit to expectations from a man and an acceptance of limitations of a man.
  7. University Grants Commission should sponsor studies for disciplines dedicated to men as 82% of the taxes are paid by men.
  8. Ministry of Information & Broadcasting should ban anti-male advertisements in Television displaying physical, financial and verbal abuse on men, especially by women.
  9. Single men should have right to adopt a child.
  10. Prevention of “male child labor” and rehabilitation of these child laborers.
  11. Punishment to wife and her parents, who drive married men to suicide by threats, extortion, monetary demands, violence and torture. Life of married men is as valuable as a married woman. No one has a right to drive a man or woman to suicide by extortion or cruelty.
  12. Article 51 A (e) of the Indian Constitution be suitably modified to contain “and men” at the end of the sentence. Presently it stands as,

“To promote harmony and the spirit of common brotherhood amongst all the people of India transcending religious, linguistic and regional or sectional diversities; to renounce practices derogatory to the dignity of women;” which needs to be modified to

“To promote harmony and the spirit of common brotherhood amongst all the people of India transcending religious, linguistic and regional or sectional diversities; to renounce practices derogatory to the dignity of women and men;”

Save Indian Family Foundation feels proud to launch its helpline for men trapped in false sexual harassment cases and unwarranted departmental actions initiated against them on frivolous complaints as we have received quite some complaints in that area. The helpline numbers are 9880763790 and 9449835612.

Save Indian Family Foundation is also happy to announce its international association with other international men’s rights organizations like Dads4Kids Fatherhood Foundation, Australia. We share our concerns with them regarding contributions and sacrifices men have made to the world so far.

With an ending note it is imperative to mention here that if the Government fails to recognize the issues of men and does not provide any redressal mechanism, the agitations against the government are only going to increase.

Thanks and Regards

Worst examples of Yellow Journalism by the media

Posted in Men, Women, dowry, legal extortion, legal terrorism, marriage, society tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , at 12:14 pm by legalfighter

It is extremely unfortunate that since last couple of years, a small group of journalists in Bangalore have been able to spread “dangerous lies” to defame Bangalore. These journalists not only spread lies, but also campaigned to term Bangalore as “Bride Burning Capital”. There are anti-Karnataka, anti-Bangalore agencies, who were even successful to take this false story to “American Talk Shows” including Oprah Winfrey so that Bangalore’s reputation can be held hostage.

There are journalists, who argue with me even today that there are 250 “bride burnings” are happening in Bangalore every month. They refer to Victoria Hospital data.

There is no basis on which Bangalore can be termed as a bride burning Capital.

According to National Crime Records Bureau, there are only 244 incidents of “Dowry Deaths including Bride Burning” in whole Karnataka.

The same report shows the incidents of dowry deaths in Bangalore in 2006 as 50 in a year.

(Please refer: 2006 Crime Table )

Are 50 “dowry death” cases registered in a year, qualify Bangalore to be termed a bride burning capital?

Dowry deaths can happen due to hanging, poisoning, beating or burning.

It is also being noticed that any suicide of married woman today is categorised as dowry death.

If there are 250 “bride burning victims” admitted in Victoria hospital, then why do not that figure in the statistics? If 250 women are burnt in Bangalore every year, then in a year the number would have been 3000 “bride burnings alone”. When organisation Vimochana put a table in Victoria Hospital, what stopped it from registered all these 3000 cases (if they were real)?

In reality, the figure in only 50 reported dowry deaths, not 3000 “bride burnings” as claimed by journalists.

This is where the yellow journalism comes into play.

Eager to write a juicy story, the journalists feed on rumours.

Some journalists still have not got out of hangover and keep using the hoax of “Bride Burning” even today to defame Bangalore.

“Bride Burning” was a big hoax.

In 2006, there are 1830 convictions of dowry deaths (plus domestic violence deaths) all over India. (NCRB)

That rate is lower than similar deaths in US. In US, some 900 women are killed by husband or relatives every year.

Population of US is 1/4th of India. So, if US had been as populous as India, it would have been killing 3600 women in a year.

Yet, India and Bangalore is defamed by some ill-educated journalists, who love yellow journalism.

When rate of murder of women in India by husbands and his relatives is half of the rate of murder of women in US by husband or his relatives, then Indian homes are 2 times safer than American homes so far as women are concerned.

Yet the journalists show Indian family system is a poor light and want to convert India into America without realizing that crime against women in America is more than that in India in any category of crime. We hear so many cases of Indian women shot dead in US today.

The love for white skin countries has taken over.

That blind love makes them write lies to defame Bangalore and India.

This rampant yellow journalism and hypocrisy has driven people to distrust and even hate this category of journalists.

Violence against women must not be tolerated. However, taking help of lies, spreading false rumours and calling Bangalore a “bride burning capital” is utterly disgusting. It is a grave insult to all peace loving Bangaloreans.

Journalists are not Gods. When journalists insult common people using derogatory terms and spread lies and rumours, then they should also be prepared to face the same music from people one day or other.

Lies and half truths do severe damage to society.

With great power comes great responsibility. If journalists do not show responsibility and do not question the facts, then soon people will lose their faith on media. Today, people use extremely derogatory language on English TV Media in blogs because of media bias. Does the same has to happen for print media as well?

Almost every news paper published a lies in Nov, 2006 that 70% of Indian women face domestic violence referring it to UN. In reality, it had no source in UN, which means it is a lie. Washington Times apologized for picking up that lie. No Indian newspaper or TV channel has apologized yet.

Washington Times’ Apology

In US, most men believe that feminists are male haters. The same will happen in India, if lies are not stopped.

It is up to the journalists to do some unbiased research so that lies and half-truths can be filtered. For example, Karnataka is the only state in India, where only 6% of educated women (who completed class 10) face domestic violence at any point of time from 15-49 years(national family health survey Karnatak fact sheet). No journalist highlights the positive side of Karnataka or Bangalore. In US, 29% of women and 22% of men face domestic violence. Karnataka is far better and peaceful.

In Karnataka sex ratio at Birth is 949 girls for 1000 boys. Where as in US, it is 956 girls per 1000 boys and in Germany it is 944 girls for 1000 boys. Still, journalists fail to see the scientific fact that it is nature’s law that 950 girls are born for 1000 boys and this is never mentioned in the newspaper articles. There are always 5% less girls are born. When this fact is not mentioned and it is reported that 949 girls are born for 1000 boys in Karnataka, that misleads the common people.

Women’s Organizations spreading paranoia

Extreme Reactions to lies:

===================

It is to be noted that common people react extremely to lies. I have seen people recommending “boiling in oil”, castration of people accused in dowry cases, bride burning or rape cases. That is disgusting. The alarm caused by journalists is the reason for people to react in that extreme manner. This same extremism results in “extreme laws”.  (Pl. refer the comment in a news website below).

Imagine, someone recommending chopping of tongue of a woman, if it is proven that she has filed a false dowry, false rape case, or false acid attack case?

I once met a guy in a court, who was accused of attempt to throw acid on a female colleague. He told me, when he pestered her to return Rs.10,000/- she borrowed from him, she filed the false case of “attempt to throw acid”. If a common man is brainwashed with acid attack stories, then the common man may feel that this guy should be castrated (as shown in comment of a newspaper below). If this guy is innocent and if he reads someone talking about “castration of men”, who are accused of throwing or attempt to throw acid of women, how will he feel? Will he not lash out angrily at journalists?

Journalists forget that, when they campaign for “extreme laws”, then innocent people get victimized and these victims lose sympathy of the society due to radicalization by media. Then, these people blame the journalists for being extremists and promoters of yellow journalism.

I clearly showed that “Bride Burning” capital and 70% women facing Domestic violence are great pieces of yellow journalism.

People can lash out angrily at journalists (or their supporters) who write extreme articles, call Bangalore the “Bride Burning Capital” or recommend castration of men.

Please note:   I am not specific to any journalist here. I am addressing the whole media in Bangalore and India. We think, the poor work by journalists in general is now forcing Software Engineers to do journalist’s work and research “unofficially”. Only after, we shouted for years, the journalists notices false dowry cases or child custody issues, where as it was their duty to do research in these topics on their own.

Many journalists have written articles supporting men’s causes recently. Thats one way, the journalists have undone some of the damage done earlier by “vicious campaigns” against men.

My final request, Please do not term Bangalore as “Acid Attack Capital” now just because there are some 65 cases of acid attacks in last 4 or 5 years. Acid attacks happen in equal rate in US, Europe and other great “white” countries as well. You can do a search in google to find the facts.

Due to massive population of India, the Indian crime statistics look huge, where as India is much peaceful (in spite of poverty, lack of opportunities) compared to many “white supremacist colonial countries”, who fund Indian media to destroy our cultures, societies and families.

A comment (after moderation by news website)

We should introduce CASTRATION OF male criminals and 10 years in jail along with publishing his photos and address in local newspapers. This will deter such crimes. We should look at Saudi Arabia. Long back the Gulf area had resource crunch and low education levels as well as low intelligence level, and to bring down the crime rate they had introduced barbaric sharia laws and it kept the Gulf tribes, safe from crime..

Divorced men filing PIL for shared parenting

‘Children need a father too, why favour women only when deciding custody battles?’

NEW DELHI: The best thing a child can have is love, affection and the company of both parents. But that seldom happens if the parents are locked in bitter courtroom battles.

To prevent children from going through the ordeal of choosing one parent, an NGO called Children Rights Initiative for Shared Parenting (CRISP) is filing a PIL in Supreme Court seeking guidelines for judges to determine the best interest of children while deciding child custody matters.

Bitter about the fact that mothers are generally favoured over fathers in child custody cases, over 500 aggrieved fathers, including NRIs, have joined hands to prepare the petition while expressing their wishes to change nappies and be with their children.

The group has recommended that due consideration be given to the presence of a father in the child’s upbringing. It wants India to be a signatory to the International Hague Convention for honouring foreign court judgments in India.

The NGO has also demanded that courts be sensitive to the fact that grandparents too have love for their grandchildren and should not be deprived of that. Guardianship courts should be opened specifically for custody matters so that they are not mixed up with marital problems.

“It is just impossible for a single parent to fulfil the rising demands of children so both parents have to co-operate in raising their children in spite of separation,” said Kumar Jahgirdar, who is leading the campaign. Jahgirdar is locked in a custody battle for his daughter with former wife Chetna, now cricketer Anil Kumble’s wife.

Child psychologists feel that unless there is a clear case of abuse, violence or neglect, there is no reason why one parent should be kept away from the child. “Children from broken families go through a lot of upheavals. Young teenagers who are away from fathers often develop complex behavioural problems. Hence, it is extremely important for the child to get the balance of both parents,” said Dr Shelja Sen, a psychologist and family therapist at Sitaram Bhartia Institute, Delhi.

CRISP has suggested various models for shared parenting: In case where both parents reside in the same city, the child can stay with one parent during the weekdays and with the other during weekends. If parents are not in the same city, custody can be given on a 50-50 basis. Small children may be given to the mother but with generous visitation rights to the father.

“The institution of marriage in India is crumbling. Two out of five marriages end in divorces in Mumbai  and 10 divorces are filed daily in Delhi. Since children become the objects of the ego war between erring parents, the custody battle becomes a heinous poison which strangulates innocent childhood,” Jahgirdar said.
